We have changed a lot of how we operate at Chartfield.
Many of our appointments will now initially be made over the phone. If your GP feels that you need in-person examination or treatment, they will invite you to come in. We now also have a limited number or face-to-face appointments available on the day.
If you are vulnerable to COVID-19 infection, you may be eligible to receive outpatient treatment. This could be in the form of an antiviral medication or an antibody therapy.

To access treatment through this scheme, you must have registered a positive lateral flow test or PCR test through the government website within 5 days. Please note that you will only be eligible if you take an NHS-issued COVID test, and that private tests will not be eligible.

Once your test is registered, you should be contacted by the local Medicines Delivery Unit (MDU) to arrange treatment. If you do not hear from the MDU team within 24 hours, please call 111. Alternatively, you can call us between 08:00-09:00 and arrange an urgent GP appointment, and we will be able to refer you for treatment.

Please be aware that COVID-19 related phone and email scams targeting vulnerable people are becoming more widespread. The NHS will never ask for your bank details, debit or credit card information, or for any passwords. The COVID-19 vaccine will always be free of charge. If you receive a suspicious text message or email, please inform the surgery, and do not click on any suspect links.
There have been a lot of changes put in place to Keep You Safe when you visit your GP practice in YOUR BOROUGH. Watch this short video to see what’s changed, what’s different and how we are trying to #KeepYouSafeSWL
